Welcome to Emory!


Your EmoryCard is your official identification cards and your key to the Emory Experience.  Your EmoryCard provides secure, convenient, and efficient access to events, goods and services, and serves as an identity tool for the safety and security of our campus.

The EmoryCard mission is to provide an array of community-wide, mission-critical services to more than 50,000 cardholders annually, several campus systems and numerous campus locations.

Please follow the steps as outlined below in order to obtain your official Emory University identification card.



EmoryCard types and Steps to getting one
CARD TYPESTEPS
Student Replacement
  1. Deactivate your EmoryCard Account
  2. Visit the EmoryCard Office or ESC 2nd Floor Print Station during regular business hours
  3. Payment is required at the time of your visit.**

Your student OPUS account will be charged the EmoryCard replacement fee of $30.00 or you may pay with debit/credit card in office.

Summer/Fall 2025 New Students
  1. Upload Photo + Image of Government Issued Photo ID
  2. Upon photo approval, EmoryCards will be distributed by school/program
  3. No further action is required please disregard the additional steps motioned in the Photo Upload approval email. (All students will receive their EmoryCard from their School Program)
Cross-Registered + ARCHE Students
  1. Upload Photo + Image of Government Issued Photo ID
  2. Upon photo approval, visit the EmoryCard office during regular business hours on the first day of classes. Payment is required at the time of your visit.
New Faculty + Staff
  1. Upload Photo + Image of Government Issued Photo ID
  2. Upon photo approval, visit the EmoryCard office during regular business hours

GME Fellows and Residents will receive their card from their program. Employees working remotely may wait until they arrive or visit campus to obtain their EmoryCard as cards are not mailed.

Replacement Cards: Faculty + Staff + Sponsored
  1. Upload Eagle Dollars to cover the cost of the replacement, if applicable. Debit/credit card and speedtype number are accepted in office.
  2. Visit EmoryCard office during regular business hours
Sponsored Account
  1. University sponsor submits OIT request
  2. University sponsor completes EmoryCard Request Form: Sponsored Account
  3. University sponsor or visitor awaits confirmation from EmoryCard
  4. Upon receipt of confirmation email, visit EmoryCard office during regular business hours
University Alumni
  1. Request an Alumni EmoryCard from Alumni Association
  2. Complete the Alumni EmoryCard Activation Form
  3. Await EmoryCard account creation confirmation email (~48+ hours)
  4. Upon receipt of confirmation email, visit EmoryCard office during regular business hours*

University Retiree
  1. Upload Photo + Image of Government Issued Photo ID
  2. Upon photo approval, visit EmoryCard office during regular business hours


HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday + Friday: 9:00am to 4:00pm | Wednesday: 9:00am to 1:00pm

EmoryCard will close at 3:00pm the business day before a University Holiday

EmoryCard is closed for all University Holidays
