Is there a charge for the EmoryCard for first year students?
Any first-time, incoming student is not charged for their initial card. However some card privileges may have additional costs. Check out our Fees Page for more information.
How to obtain building access?
Have your supervisor or department head contact Campus Services customer service at 404-727-7463 with the below information:
- Employee full name
- Employee 7-digit Empl ID number
- PROX number on the back of your card (first 6 digits after the aterisk*)
- Name(s) of building for access
- Expiration date
- Specific days and times needed for access
How long will it take once my EmoryCard Online Application is submitted?
First time students will receive their card during their cards during their school orientation. Replacement cards; however, cannot be ordered online but must be replaced at the EmoryCard Services office located on the first floor of the Boisfeuillet Jones Building.
What photo file types do you accept and what is the largest file size I can upload?
We recommend JPEG files and the largest file size of the photo should be 6MB. What happens if the photo I provide does not meet the requirements specified by EmoryCard? Your application for an EmoryCard will be delayed. You will receive an email indicating the reason why the photo is not acceptable and will have to either re-upload another picture or visit the EmoryCard Services office to have your photo taken and produced by our office.
What do I do if my ID card is lost or stolen?

How do I get a replacement card?
In order to receive a replacement EmoryCard, you will need to come to the EmoryCard Services Office. Please remember to bring a valid government issued photo ID such as your driver's license, state identification card, or passport with you to the office. The replacement fee is $30.00 and must be paid at the time the card is made.
As an Oxford College student, where can I use my EmoryCard on the Atlanta Campus?
Facilities Access: You are granted access to the George W. Woodruff Physical Education Center and Woodruff Library.
Emory Libraries: Use your EmoryCard at any library on the Atlanta campus to check out books and other items and to purchase photocopies and printing.
Dining: Meal plans can be used at the Dining Hall in the Dobbs University Center (DUC). Eagle or Dooley Dollars can be used at all on- and off-campus Eagle Merchant location. Click Here to See All On and Off Eagle Merchants.
EAGLE DOLLARS VS. DOOLEY DOLLARS
Eagle Dollars are dollar for dollar, declining balance funds that reside on your EmoryCard. Funds can be added to your account in a variety of ways, can be used by Faculty, Staff and Students, and are accepted at on- and off-campus locations that accepts the EmoryCard.
Not only do Eagle Dollars rollover from the fall to spring semester, but they also rollover to the next academic year. Eagle Dollars continue to rollover until you graduate or leave the University at which time any unused Eagle Dollar funds of $25.00 or more will automatically be reimbursed by check through the University Student Financial Services department. Eagle Dollar fund balances of $24.99 or less will only be refunded upon written request to the EmoryCard Services office.
Dooley Dollars are an enhancement to your Dining Plan that gives you the flexibility of eating meals outside of the main cafeteria. Dooley Dollars work like a debit account on your EmoryCard with purchases automatically deducted from the balance on the account. Dooley Dollars can be used to make purchases at on-campus dining locations only. Your Dooley Dollars rollover from the fall to spring semester, but they do NOT rollover to the next academic year. Dooley Dollars are non-refundable.
